Problem
A startup founder needed to plan and launch marketing campaigns without the budget or timeline for an external agency.
Decision
Architected an AI-assisted campaign management platform end-to-end on Next.js/Vercel, using GPT-4o Mini for content generation and Cloudflare R2 for cost-efficient asset storage.
Tradeoff
Chose a smaller/cheaper model (GPT-4o Mini) over a larger one to keep generation costs low for a bootstrapped customer, trading some output quality for sustainable unit economics — mitigated with structured prompting.
Outcome
Eliminated the need for external marketing agency support; the platform supported three production marketing campaigns live on the company's launch day.
